Football
Football players at all different positions use their shoulders for many various things in the game. The most obvious player to use their shoulder would be the quarterback because he has to throw the ball. However, all other positions require just as much use of the shoulder. The defensive players use their shoulders to hit, reach up and try to intercept a pass, and to make a tackle. The offensive linemen have to bring their arms up to block and push. Receivers and running backs have to be able to reach to catch a pass as well as make a hit on a defensive player when they are running with the ball. Because of all the required shoulder movement and body contact involved in this sport, football players are prone to many different shoulder injuries both acute and chronic.
